MAX and FTB

Connecting to your account

To start using EXFO Exchange on your test unit, you first need to launch the app and login with your existing account.

On the MAX

  1. Start EXFO Exchange from the Home screen
  2. Click on Authorize from another device
  3. Navigate to exfoexchange.com/activate on your browser and type the code displayed on the screen or simply use your smartphone and scan the QR code to quickly navigate to the Activation page.

On the FTB

  1. Launch EXFO Exchange from either Toolbox (located in the Test tools section) or the icon on the Desktop.
  2. Click on Sign in with email
  3. Enter your email and password to complete the sign in process
  4. If you do not have an account, you will need to follow the account creation steps.

Syncing your test results with EXFO Exchange

To automatically sync all your test results to your EXFO Exchange account, you need to enable the auto-sync feature in the application and make sure the test application is configured properly.

In the EXFO Exchange application

  1. Open the EXFO Exchange application in your MAX or FTB
  2. Select the workspace in which you wish to sync your test results (You can change workspace by taping on Change workspace in the right side menu)
  3. Navigate to the Results screen
  4. Click on Import results
  5. Enable Sync folders to Exchange
  6. Select a folder where the results will be saved

In the test application

Follow these steps to configure ConnectorMax2, iOLM, OTDR, OLTS or OPM properly

  1. Open the User preferences
  2. Change the default folder to select the same folder as the one defined in EXFO Exchange
  3. (Optional) Enable Automatically save measurement

In the NetBlazer or Powerblazer applications

Follow these steps to configure NetBlazer and PowerBlazer properly

  1. Open the Generate Report dialog
  2. Change the Save To location to select the same folder as the one defined in EXFO Exchange
  3. (Optional) Enable the Auto-Generate Report 

Executing tests

Once your test applications is configured, you can simply leave EXFO Exchange running in the background and execute tests as you nornally would. All results will be automatically imported into the EXFO Exchange application and synched to your account.

View imported results

The Result screen lists the latest results imported into the app, including their name, verdict, execution date, corresponding test types and sync status.

  A “broken cloud” icon next to a result means upload is pending. The synchronization will resume automatically when internet connectivity will be available
